If you have any photos you
would like to see in this site, email us through link at top of this page.
Acknowledgment of the photographer will be printed. Sorry about the quality
of some of the pics here, have spent around $200 and I don't know how
many hours already just bringing this lot to you - and it's worth it.
I live here!!! Spearfish off the headlands, rock fish off some of the
outcrops, driven through many of the trails, surfed a million waves off
One Mile, Birubi and Fingal beaches, got dumped pretty badly at Zenith
Beach and ate heaps of sand while boogie boarding down the Stockton sand
dunes. I LOVE THE PLACE!!!!
Soon as I can get my hands on some better quality pics - they'll be here.
In the meantime, check out some of these great photos and see why you
should be here ....

Below are
recent photos of Stockton Beach, Stockton Sand dunes ( camping,
4WD's and motorbikes permitted on a huge section of the dunes
plus many fascinating 4wd tour operators take you right through
the dunes which range up to 100ft high and stretch 5km from beach
to bush at widest point ), Birubi Beach and local fishermen
with a great salmon catch just down from Birubi Beach at Anna
Bay. Click on thumbnails for larger photos.

44 Wide angle
view of Stockton Beach looking south towards Newcastle - about 40km
away and most of that coastline offers great fishing with 4WDs, motorbikes
and camping permitted on a huge section of the beach and sand dunes. |

patrolled swimming area towards Anna Bay. At left and just out of
the picture is Birubi headland with the new Surf Club, ameneties block
and carpark. |
46 Birubi offers some of the areas
best waves - sheltered corner of Birubi sometimes has the only decent
surf for miles around. This photo looks down from Birubi headland
carpark and taken about 5pm alte October 99. |
47 Stockton sand dunes, photo taken
about 1km from the Anna Bay entrance to the sand dunes looking south
towards Newcastle - about 40km of dunes between the two thought!. |

| 51 OK, I took the photo and being
a male I couldn't resist squeezing a picture of the car in!! |
52 Digital photography at it's best
- us amateurs can still squeeze off a few good shots ... |
53 This was a great morning. Myself
and the better half were driving down Birubi beach to go fishing one
morning and droves past these guys. |
53 Stopping to have a look, found
out they were all local pro fishermen and had just hauled in a huge
load of salmon. |
54 The spot they were in was no more
than a km down the beach from Birubi. |
55 Whoops! Snuck a pic of the better
half in here - wonder how long before she notices it and I have to
take it off the site?? |
 |
 |
|
|
|
|
| 56 Rear view shot of the better half
- she's the one on the left! These guys were all from Anna Bay and
the salmon were around 3-5kg in weight. They reckoned they let around
20t go ... |
57 They say the fishing is pretty
good around this area. I relieved the boys of 2 great salmon - took
them home and salmon steaks on the BBQ that night with a few beers.
BEautiful! |
